What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.
I think this is a well written, truly amazing article. The man is trying to say that the whole point of school is not academics, it is overcoming adversities, and to keep getting up even when you are better down trying to focus on a million things at once. The 'main event" is exactly what I said before, you have to be tested and keep getting up and overcoming adversity. You can't give up because the whole school system is a test about overcoming adversity.

Stop Motion Number 2
My groups stop motion is about stack-able cups. Our plan is to stack them one by one and take a picture. Then take them apart and do it again. Today we are filming, and we should be able to finish if we can get to work quickly. We are going to go out to the hall and film on a table, we will be using a tripod for this project, and Cody's phone will be used.

Answer the following questions thoroughly on your blog.
I think I would rate my stop motion a 7 because I put a lot of work into it, while it may not have been world changing, I thought that the camera was very still and it flowed smoothly.
- What was your stop motion animation about? Why did you choose your video to be about this? Was it because it was easy, because it would be fun, or it would be challenging? Explain your reasoning behind your project (and be honest).
My Stop Motion was about the classic video game Pong. I choose this because I thought it was a simple idea that I could do well. I drew a lot of inspiration after watching human Tetris. I think that it was really easy sometimes, but really challenging at other points (like trying to upload photos to drive).
2. If you could rate your stop motion on a 1-10 scale. 1 being low effort and no very good and 10 being out of this world/mind-blowing, how would you rate your project? Explain why.

3. In hindsight, what would you do differently the second time around? Better lighting? Time management? Explain yourself.
If I could change anything about my presentation, I would have not had the game end in a tie. That is really boring and I wish I hadn't done that. Another thing I would change would be that I wish I would have done it on construction paper and set it up on a wall so it was easier to move.
4. Explain what makes your stop motion animation unique. How do you believe you thought "outside of the box" on this project?
I though that I went out of the box when it came to special effects. I used one in particular which was where the computer only sees the outline of each object. It ended up looking very nice, and gave it a little bit more of flare.
5. What grade do you feel you deserve on this project? Explain your reasoning.
I feel that I deserve a 92-94 on this project. While it may not of been mind-blowing or world changing, I did everything on the rubric. I feel like my biggest weakness is my color scheme I choose. It doesn't fit with a classic pong machine.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend.
This weekend I got to experience something, that is very interesting. I got to vaccinate new born calves, and if they were boys we neutered them. First we had to separate the the calves from their mother, which they did not like very much. Then we vaccinated the mothers, that didn't take long because they were calm. Them we drove the mothers 30 minutes away to a open pasture. While we were doing that the others got all the calves together and ready to vaccinate. When we got back we vaccinated the calves. They were very unhappy because they didn't know what was going on. But once they were done they calmed down a lot. Finally we loaded up the calves to take to their mothers, to roam the pastures all summer long. An interesting thing that happened while we were doing this was, I got to see a cow give birth.

My idea for stop motion is to use post it notes to play the classic Atari game pong. I have drawn out the board and watched how the ball moves for 10 minutes. I will be assisted by the lovely Vito Mannino and Cody Zakeri. The props I need are white post it notes and a black piece of construction paper. The sticky notes will be cut into rectangles and one into a square. I will make score numbers out of sticky notes. The final score will be 5-3 the person on the left will win. I plan on shooting on a wall and using a tripod for a steady image. I will be taking the pictures with my phone. Today I will be watching games f pong to observe the board and every little aspect of Pong.

This weekend I went to the Lake of the Ozarks. I drove 3 hours down with my dad and when we got there I was so exhausted from driving I fell asleep. When I woke up Saturday morning my friends and I went out on our golf carts and drove around. We found a really muddy trail and went riding down it. Once we were done we realized our golf carts were
covered in mud. We went back home and cleaned them. We then started a huge leaf bonfire and roasted hot dogs and made smores. Later that night we watched there final four. The next day I drove 3.5 hours back home. I was so tired from driving I slept from 4 to seven then I woke up ate dinner and went to bed.

I don't know much about photography, the only experience I have is with Photoshop a little last year in my computer class. I take photos every once in a while. I normally take photos wit my phone camera. I never really edit photos anymore on social media. I used to because I thought it was really cool, but now I think it looks silly. I used to put filters on them. I don't really have any artistic background in photography and I'm not that artistic. I think it would be col to learn more in depth about Photoshop. I do like photography though.

Welcome back! Go ahead. Tell me all about your Spring Break. Include photos!
This Spring Break I went to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The first couple days my friends Max and I helped clean up the house and get everything ready. Then we got our Sea-Doo in the water and rode around on that for a while. On Saturday night Max left, and Sunday was really boring. But on Monday our neighbors came down and we had fun. We went to a place went inside of a cave Tuesday, then we went to the dam and got a bunch of fun stuff from the stores. Thursday March Madness started and I watched that all day. Then that night we went out to eat at a really fancy restaurant with a great view of the lake. Friday our neighbors went home, and I just watched basketball. Saturday a different neighbor came down and we hung out. Then I left Sunday and watched the KU game.

10 pieces of advice you would give people who are making a presentation
- Don't make it so long it bores your audience.
- Make sure it's still long enough to fully inform the people.
- Cite all of the sources you used so you don't break copyright rules.
- Don't write paragraphs, write one or two sentences and explain, it will involve the audience.
- Talk loud when you present, so you are seen as confident.
- Include pictures, so you can give the audience a visual representation.
- Create something that you believe in, so you can be confident in your project.
- Give the audience something to think about, it will make them pay more attention.
- Ask the audience if there is any questions, to make sure everyone understands.
- Start off with something that will grab the audiences attentions, so that they will pay more attention to your presentation.

This weekend my friend and I played NBA 2K15, we played 1 vs. 1 on the blacktop mode. I was Muggsy Bogues (5' 3") and he was Shaquille O'Neal (7' 1"). I won the first game but he won the last two out of three. Then we order a pizza and watched the KU game and I was very happy. The best part about the weekend was definitely hanging out with Ryan and beating him in NBA 2K15.

The perfect curriculum would be inform us of how to do real world things like pay taxes, and teach us how to buy a house and how mortgages work. They would have us do taxes and then grade us based on how we did, because practice makes perfect. The classes would be like, real world money management, and how you interact with the government. Along with classes on math, and english that goes up and teaches us everything we would need to know how to do in real life. We would chose our job when we are real young and all of schooling leads up to that. These would be different from the classes I have now because in most of the classes I have now I don't feel like I could use any of that information unless I was on a game show, for example geometry. When in real life am I going to be given two chords that intersect on a circle and have to figure out their angle?

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?
This means that if you do less, you can do better quality work. You can put more focus on certain things, instead of spreading you focus out on many things. You can apply this to your school work by instead of procrastinating and doing a bunch of things in one night, dedicate one night a week to one project. I think we would definitely get more out of class if we had less work but a better quality was expected. I think it would work for me because I am very detail orientated, and kinda OCD online.

Tell me about some interesting things you have learned about your global issue so far. What have you learned that you didn't know before? Include a couple images from the internet if possible. (Make sure to cite images that are not your own.)
Somethings I have learned about my issue is that the majority of cases take place in Africa and other third world countries. Another thing I learned is the difference between HIV and AIDS. Basically HIV is a virus that infects the body that can lead to the disorder AIDS. AIDS is a condition where your body cannot fight diseases anymore, which can lead to dying just because of a simple cold.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"? EXPLAIN.
An email is the most useless thing now that text has been invented, unless you use it to get coupons or to sign up for stuff. I don't use email unless I am making an account or sometimes reading things my dad sent me. Reasons people use E-mail: communicate; sign-up; get scammed. Email etiquette is basically to use it in a professional manner, no one sentence messages, (because texting is easier) and only send stuff that doesn't need to be read immediately.

Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.
My global issue is AIDS and currently there is really no one who thinks my issue is a good thing. The only thing for my issue that could cause controversy is how it is commonly spread but other than that there is not much controversy around my issue. Some people disagree on the issue about how to cure it because there is a lot that is unknown.
Global Issue
- Without doing any research, what background do you currently have on this issue?
Back in 8th grade I did a research paper on HIV/ AIDS, and know about what it does
- What do you want to know about this issue?
I want to know where in the world it is common and any possible soulotions to our current problem.
- Why did you choose this issue? Had it effected your life? Is it something you are passionate about? Explain.
I chose this issue because it is currently effecting many people. It has currently not effected me personally. I am passionate about it because of the amount of people it is effecting in the world currently.

Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.
I think you asked us to do that so that instead of making it a boring presentation it was interesting and could better provoke emotion. With just plain bullets and headers it is hard to make your presentation anything more than just a lecture, and makes it very difficult to provoke any emotions.

A public service announcement is like a commercial that is trying to warn you, or prevent you from doing something. A good PSA will evoke emotions and will make you want to not do whatever the announcement is about. You can get others to take action by showing them the PSA or creating a club at your school against this thing. My PSA idea is about Concussions and the permanent and severe damage they can do.

I disagree because their parent pay taxes so that they can have recreational centers. I think that this guys is just a mean person who hates children and hates fun.
