Blog Post of the Day:
Finish this sentence "10 years from now I will be...." (explain)

In 10 years from now I would still be in college at ASU about to get my law degree. I will live in our house in Arizona and go swimming. I will also have a girlfriend and have decent grades. I will have a full mountain man beard and I will be taking care of my dog.

Blog Post of the Day:
Yesterday I had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. Today on your blog I want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.

My global issue is AIDS and currently there is really no one who thinks my issue is a good thing. The only thing for my issue that could cause controversy is how it is commonly spread but other than that there is not much controversy around my issue. Some people disagree on the issue about how to cure it because there is a lot that is unknown.

Global Issue

  1. Without doing any research, what background do you currently have on this issue?
Back in 8th grade I did a research paper on HIV/ AIDS, and know about what it does
  1. What do you want to know about this issue?
I want to know where in the world it is common and any possible soulotions to our current problem.
  1. Why did you choose this issue? Had it effected your life? Is it something you are passionate about? Explain.
I chose this issue because it is currently effecting many people. It has currently not effected me personally. I am passionate about it because of the amount of people it is effecting in the world currently.

Blog Post of the Day:
Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

I think you asked us to do that so that instead of making it a boring presentation it was interesting and could better provoke emotion. With just plain bullets and headers it is hard to make your presentation anything more than just a lecture, and makes it very difficult to provoke any emotions.

The kids these days are just the worst, with their MTV's and there fruit phones. No one ever goes outside anymore, instead they just sit inside and connect on the line and play their shoot em' up games. They don't play tag or kick the can, instead they just sit on those little phone and crush candy and make birds angry. They can't even talk face to face it's all texting and twitters and Facebook messages. Back in my day if you wanted to talk to your buddy you walked across the street and rang the bell and said hi.

PSA

Wednesday, January 21

Blog Post of the Day:
What is a public service announcement (PSA)? What do PSA's do? What makes a good PSA? How can you get someone to take action after watching a PSA? What is you PSA idea? Explain in detail.

A public service announcement is like a commercial that is trying to warn you, or prevent you from doing something. A good PSA will evoke emotions and will make you want to not do whatever the announcement is about. You can get others to take action by showing them the PSA or creating a club at your school against this thing. My PSA idea is about Concussions and the permanent and severe damage they can do.

Blog Post of the Day:
What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

I have really enjoyed class so far. It has been a pretty laid back class, that does not seem to difficult. I enjoy having it first hour because it is a good transition from home to the school day. I have learned everything I now know about Blogging from this class, it has been a great learning experience so far and I hope it continues to be that way. I really want to learn about how to design webpages and use photoshop

Thursday, January 8

Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

My thoughts are that this principle is telling kids to do something for their community and that their community doesn't owe them anything. I disagree because their parent pay taxes so that they can have recreational centers. I think that this guys is just a mean person who hates children and hates fun.
